May 12, 2008 I've seen Ms. Cartwright perform on many occasions. Her performance will blow you away. If you enjoy live jazz at it's best this will definitely a show you will enjoy.

Wow! There is so much knowledge being
given in this book. Itreminds me of a music textbook. I'm finding it
very informative and it's nice to have a lot of the pictures that I did not

July 5, 2007 Joan's book is entertaining from beginning to end. I could feel the warmth of her family history and hear her singing in the songs she wrote. I could hear her voice singing "A Woman Knows". Imust say Joan could not have done better, for it's her, all the way. When she told me that her book was finished and was to be published,I could hardly wait to buy it and read it, as I was so proud and excited, too. In Pursuit of a Melody is an insightful journey through the life and musical experiences of Joan Cartwright. She has skillfully painted the pages with an in-depth and detailed pallet of colorsthat could only be brought forth through her vast experiences.
